Don Gabriel y doña Aurora recuerdan perfectamente los años en que el cine Edén funcionaba como el lugar preferido para la sana diversión pues en la pequeña sala se proyectaban películas de la época de oro del cine Mexicano.
“Recuerdo que aquí veíamos películas de Pedro Infante de Jorge Negrete, de María Felix y muy bien me acuerdo haber visto ¡Hay Jalisco No te rajes!, era sana diversión, en los años cuarenta, con el paso de los años todo esto queda nada más como un bonito recuerdo, el edificio fue remodelado y ahora es restaurante y lo abren solo los fines de semana”, comentó don Gabriel de León.
A su esposa doña, aurora también le tocó ver películas de la época dorada en el cine Edén.
“Fue un época muy bonita, yo a los ocho años igual que otros niños nos emocionaba cuando había función, en aquellos años el cine Edén era nuestra diversión, todos lo recordamos con enorme gusto”, dijo doña Aurora.
La pareja mencionó que siempre pasan enfrente del edificio que se encuentra en pleno centro de Tenango del Aire y al igual que don Gabriel y doña Aurora, otras personas adultas de su generación el referirse al Edén es un grato recuerdo que no se extingue.
A los jóvenes ya les tocó ver el edificio antiguo remodelado, dicen los adultos ya que hasta los años 60 funcionó como sala de proyección de películas y los abuelos son los que platican sobre lo importante que fue el cine para la gente de épocas pasadas.
El edificio forma parte de la arquitectura antigua del municipio, incluso en la pared principal hay una inscripción en la que se destaca el año de 1935 que es la fecha de la fundación del cine por los señores Jacinto y Felipe Molina.
